Easy Read Training

In our CPD-accredited Easy Read training course you will learn how to create your own Easy Read documents.

The training is interactive and practical, with opportunities to write, design and get feedback on your work.

The course covers:

  • what Easy Read is, and why it is important
  • who uses Easy Read, and why the target audience might be wider than you think
  • how to choose Easy Read words
  • how to write Easy Read sentences
  • how to choose pictures for Easy Read
  • how to format and publish Easy Read documents
  • how to work with Easy Read users to develop your work.

Our Easy Read training builds on learning from Disability Equality Scotland members, our Easy Read User Feedback Group, and our involvement as key partners in the UK Easy Read Standards Working Group and the International Easy Read Community of Practice.

Easy Read training costs £600 per person.

The course is delivered online, over 2 sessions or 4 sessions.
