CPD Easy Read Training

Our Easy Read training has been accredited by the CPD Standards Office since 2023.

We recently refreshed and updated our Easy Read training, to make sure it works well with the UK Easy Read Standards.

People who do our Easy Read training get a certificate of 8 hours’ CPD. But what is CPD, and why is is important?

CPD means Continuing Professional Development. In other words, CPD is learning that people do to help them in their job.

CPD can include learning about things, or learning how to do something. Disability Equality Scotland’s Easy Read training gives people both these things!

People who do our Easy Read training learn:

  • about what Easy Read is, and why it is important
  • how to start writing Easy Read
  • how to review and develop their Easy Read skills.

People in many different jobs and roles come along to do our Easy Read training, and take this knowledge and these skills back to their workplace.

In the past we have done training with:

  • people working in the public sector
  • communications professionals
  • people working in advocacy and support
  • people working in arts and culture organisations
  • people who want to communicate with a wide audience about their service or product.

We deliver public Easy Read training courses twice a year. These are online courses and are open for anybody to sign up to; we work with people across the UK and internationally.

We also deliver private Easy Read training courses for organisations.

If you or your colleagues are looking for some CPD that provides practical skills, improves accessibility, and supports a charity, take a look at our Easy Read training.
