Work for us – Investing in Access Project Support Worker
Disability Equality Scotland are pleased to announce their successful application to Awards for All and the Big Lottery in Scotland for a pilot project entitled Investing in Access (IIA) to assess the need and develop a recognised benchmark for accessible buildings and venues of all kinds.
We are now seeking to engage the services of an experienced community worker for our Investing in Access Project Support role.
The successful candidate is responsible to the Access Engagement Officer for support, supervision, and reporting.
Support the delivery of the Investing in Access Pilot Project
Work with the Local Access Panel(s) volunteers in the dissemination and promotion of this project.
Develop activities relevant to role, including community engagement and event planning
To build and foster appropriate and effective relationships, engaging with members of the public, particularly those affected by disability and business/proprietors of all kinds
10 hours per week (flexible, totalling 360 hours for duration of project).
Rate of pay – £15.00 per hour. Please note this role is on a sessional basis, and the successful applicant will be responsible for any HMRC obligations.
Length of contract – 360 hours worked over a period of 6-9 months
A current driving license is desirable
When and where
The post will begin in June or July 2018. You will be based in our offices in Alloa with travel across the Forth Valley area.
