Accessibility is not just about physical spaces. Accessible communication is key to inclusion and participation. The team at Disability Equality Scotland have been exploring how accessible and inclusive communication can support participation in arts and culture.
At this online event, we will showcase some examples from the UK and other countries that demonstrate how the right to full participation in cultural life can be enabled. These examples will include accessible fiction, accessible exhibition guides, and accessible documents about art and artists.
Disability Equality Scotland is hosting this free online event as part of Scotland’s Human Rights Festival 2026.
