Our Easy Read Training Course is launching in March!

After a successful pilot, the Disability Equality Scotland Easy Read training course is now open for bookings.

Easy Read is an accessible format that makes written information easier to understand because it uses simple, jargon-free language, shorter sentences and supporting images.

The aims of the Easy Read training course are:

• To give you the skills and knowledge to produce basic Easy Read documents
• To develop your confidence in producing accessible documents.

Who is this course for?

This is not a course aimed at Easy Read users. This course is suitable for organisations and individuals:

• who would like to make their communication more inclusive and accessible,
• who are involved in producing information,
• who design and create any kind of document and,
• who work in public or in-house communications.

When is the course?

The course will be delivered online over the course of a week. Attendance is expected for all sessions.

Available open courses:

 Course 1: Monday 28 February – Friday 4 March 2022

11am – 12.30pm (five 90-minute sessions, 5 places available)

• Course 2: Monday 14th March and Wednesday 16 March and Friday 18 March 2022

10 am – 12.30pm (three 2½ hour sessions, 5 places available)

• Course 3: Tuesday 29 March and Thursday 31 March 2022

9am – 12.45pm (two ½ day sessions, 4 places available)

How much does the course cost?

Online training costs £125 per person per course.
