The discussion will look at barriers to accessing services and what organisations can do to be more LGBT friendly. This workshop will take place as part of the Bi-Tastic event in the Highland Conference Centre, and the Newton Hotel, Nairn. Please contact Disability Equality Scotland for more information.
Accessible housing – Dundee, 2 November 2017
Working with our partners at Blackwood Housing Group, this session showcases the work Blackwood have recently completed to create fully accessible housing in Dundee. There will be a presentation on how this came to fruition and discussions on how this idea could be replicated elsewhere. There will be the chance to take a virtual tour of the accessible housing. This roadshow will take place at Blackwood Housing Group’s Dundee office between 1pm – 3pm. Places are limited to 25 people.
Disability in Sport – Edinburgh, 16 November 2017
Together with Scottish Disability Sport and the University of the West of Scotland, we present a roadshow on the impact that sport can have on disabled people, and what legacy sporting events such as the Commonwealth Games leave for disabled people. This roadshow will take place at Scottish Disability Sport headquarters, Caledonia House, South Gyle between 2pm – 3:30pm. Places are limited to 25 people.
