About Disability Equality Scotland
We are Disability Equality Scotland. We are a membership organisation for disabled people and disability groups/organisations.
If you are a disabled person, we want to hear from you. We want to hear about your experiences of accessibility, inclusion and equality, good or bad! This information helps us when we meet with key decision makers who are responsible for ensuring equality and human rights are in place with policies and the law.
Become a member with us and join over 1,000 disabled people, sharing their views on access and inclusion. Together we can make Scotland accessible and inclusive for all!
Face Covering Exemption Card Scotland
Disability Equality Scotland, on behalf of the Scottish Government, is administering the distribution of Face Covering Exemption Cards.
The Scottish Government recommend the wearing of face coverings on transport, most indoor public places and communal areas in workplaces. Face coverings play a role in preventing the transmission of COVID-19.
There are situations where some people are unable to, or it would be inappropriate for them, to wear a face covering.
You do not need to provide written proof that you are exempt, but if it would make you feel more safe and confident in public and when accessing and using public spaces and services, you can download a face covering exemption card.
