Event: Access to Transport in Rural Areas for Disabled People
Disability Equality Scotland is hosting an event about access to transport for disabled people at the Riverbank Resource Centre on Wednesday 28 February 2018.
The event, which is being held in partnership with Transport Scotland, will focus on disabled people’s access to public transport in rural areas. It will be the perfect opportunity for local people to influence the shape and form of public transport and create communities that are more inclusive.
Disability Equality Scotland, Project Manager, Emma Scott said: ‘This is an important event as transport in rural areas can be a lifeline for so many people. The event will bring together disabled people and transport providers to discuss issues such as frequency of service, cost of transport provision and ease of travelling by public transport in rural areas.”
‘The event will run from 1.00pm to 3.00pm, and we’re hoping for a great turnout. I would encourage everyone who has a disability, or an interest in disabled access issues, to register for the event by emailing me at email@example.com on or before Friday 23 February. You can also book to attend by calling our office on 01259 272064 or booking online at Eventbrite
We look forward to seeing you on the day!
